Years ago I had Art of
http://artsgunshop.com/ near St. Louis relay the top rib on a german double rifle and left it up to him if the barrels needed to be re-blacked. When he was done he did not re-blacken the barrels. I was driving past and stopped to pick them up and could not tell he had re-soldered the rib. After aver 25 years they still are fine. The rifle shoots very well I had been a little worried about the regulation but he said it would not be a problem and it was not. He is a Browning specialist but does top quality work.
