Steven, I recall reading about your method prior to starting my project. I chose to make the bow and grip tang/rail as one piece instead of welding on the grip tang/rail. This put my weld inside the bow and thereby less conspicuous if nitre or charcoal blued. Just a different approach. http://www.pbase.com/roaniecowpony/inbox&page=2
