I looked at a 28 gauge today. I believe it had 26" barrels. The stock had been cut back for a kid and ruined. The guy had tried to clean the receiver and lost 50 percent of the case color. I believe it was made by Winchester or I may be confusing it with the 20 gauge Repro he also had which said Winchester on the barrels. My memory seems to fail me often but I think it was a D grade. The price is attractive.

Are there replacement stocks for this gun?

So many guns, so little time!

I heard (heard) that most of the Parker Repro parts were in a whearhouse that Hurricane Andrew wrecked in the 90's and the insurance company destroyed the parts after the payout was made. This could be all wrong though. I only heard it from one source.

Go to the PGCA (Parker Gun Collecter's Assoc.) web page and click on the Parts For Sale forum. Someone has two Repro buttstocks for sale there.

I belive you will have a very hard time finding a replacement stock. I own a 28 ga. 2 barrel set that I purchased new. The stock "loosened up" about 8-9 years ago after only a fair amount of shooting. I spoke with Richard Skeuse (Reagent Chemical) about this and ended up sending it to Dave Wolfe in Waco, Texas at Mr. Skeuse's recommendation and introduction. Mr. Wolfe repaired the damaged wood and explained to me at that time that it would be cost prohibitive to replace the stock.
If you decide against the gun, I would be interested to know more about it or be put in touch with the owner. It might be a good gun for my younger son.
If you do get it and can make a stock work, I believe you will enjoy it!

If the stock is just cut shorter you may be able to add a wood stock extension. Some have been posted here that looked great and were almost undetectable. Maybe they could be reposted for your benefit. If the price is right jump on it.

Good luck

The stock extension is a good idea and may be a great option. You'll love the gun.

Hi builder,
I sent you a PM.....however in the most recent past, I really don't know that it works for me. That said, I would be interested in that Parker repro if you decide to pass on it(and if i can afford it). I would like to find a cut one like you mention for my oldest son, so that he can grow into it. He's still a little tike. Also I can save mine! But if not then good luck with it!
Thanks,

Now I thought those repros were exact repros of the original Parker guns. Shouldnt any other Parker stock of the same frame size fit it? If you get a real good deal, why not have a nice stock made to fit you by one of the many fine stock makers America has to offer?

This kind of fix may be an option that ends up looking best yet cost effective and easier to do yourself.

You will be real lucky to have any Parker stock from one gun fit another. Even being of the same frame size. These where hand made and fitted, and it just doesn't work out very often.
