I totally agree UPS is sooo much better when it comes to tracking,in fact USPS really has none until its already there,like you say.I had a UPS store near me (other end of the lake) that like yours was fine with shipping guns but then one day they just stopped.I then,having sold a shotgun,cashed the check wanted to get the gun to the buyer and went the USPS route and have not gone back.Not happy with tracking at all from them and might well have stuck with UPS store had they not changed but so far nothing has been lost or broken.
I will also add I have recieved guns from UPS as well as some expensive items (watches next day air) and they arrived fine and un messed with-tracking them helped easy the worry.
Pleased as well we both agree/understand shipping/FFL rules the same. I suspect many would if they just spent the time reading the rules,like we have and not calling/asking others.
