When I see the name Böhler I too think of Austria but many target arms from Zella Saint Blasii had tubes of Böhler steel and I guess the tubes of Böhler steel to have been sourced from Anschütz or Udo Anschütz. I don't know an Austrian craftsman with the initials "ML" right off but Max Lepper of Zella Saint Blasii comes to mind when German arms are concerned. Max Lepper hung out his shingle in 1888 and based on the average of a master craftsman I guess him to have been born in the early to mid 1860s.

Kind Regards,
