One thing that really surprised me, given the age of the gun, was the stock dimensions. DAH is less than 2 1/4". The guy in the shop told me about it, but until I handled it, I figured it would probably have a whole lot of drop, like many guns of that era. It's just the opposite, and I'm sure the stock is original. I loosened the top tang, and the SN is in the wood underneath it.
More or less modern dimensions seem to be the norm rather than the exception with Lefevers, which is yet another reason they are held in such high esteem. I have seen them with as little as 2 1/4" drop and as much as 3", but most seem to be in the 2 1/2 to 2 9/16" area in my experience.
