marks on barrel is faint although i try my best to make the picture of barrel lump.
please help me to find out the maker of shotgun.

Patent 324 was granted to J.Thomas a Birmingham gunmaker in 1870,it covers a single bite,snap action for a shotgun. The Thomas patent action was licenced/sold to other gun makers of the era.For this reason, J.Thomas may not be the maker of your shotgun. Need the pictures to have any chance of identifying the maker.

Stanton GL Maker will mean Stanton who was a Gun Lock Maker possible. Stanton locks were fitted to quality guns. Thomas single bite snal action guns are quite commonly encountered by a wide variety of Makers. I have one, a 20 bore, by Wm. Moore & Gray and also a 16 bore by Thomas norfolk of Bury St.Edmunds. any other information on the gun? Lagopus.....
