I thought I had this saved, but now can't find it either in my files or with the search function. Anyone able to tell me where to find it?

CJO, That is exactly the tutorial I was looking for. You did such a great job with it. The missing photos would have been great, but the written instruction is pretty good to refresh me on the process. Part of what I was looking for related to the groove around the butt. Did the groove come to a knife edge or was there a small flat left there perhaps of 1/32" or so? How deep was the groove you gouged out?

About 1/16" flat will do,..the depth depends on the thickness of the leather
