It was also fully engraved.Dont know why I didn't borrow money to buy that gun.I was borrowin to buy cars. I have two Arisakas with provenance. They are complete and given to me by the people who brought them home from the battle of okinawa. They receive the utmost respect from me as one came from a battlefield the other from an arsenel. That on Juila is "just" a double rifle over a shotgun,a double rifle drilling or as he calls it in the lising "Doppelbuchsdrilling " .I suspect the gun alone is well worth the low estimate and probably a great investment.Of course trying to sneak it past the accountant I married will require a more convincing sale !
