We use both the consumer and the professional products- some of the pro products and variants from GE show MEK but all of them call for exposure risks.

Some of the first Loctite products were of a different composition than thwe current stuff and aparently some of the pro product is of different composition.

I did find out we use thread locker from Loctite, GE, and Permacel to name a few.

I still have some Orange that was a industrila level that I used to mount a dot scope to the muzzel of an 1187 open combat gun. That material was so strong that we drilled the barrel, coated the screws and placed them. After curing came back and cut the screw shafts in the barrel to the barrel radius. On the test screw the amount of heat to remove the screw would destroy the barrel finish and probably the barrel itself.

I still maintain that these products are best used with caution. All of them warn of exposure.
