I would like to try a BSS 20 ga. as a second gun to my 687 SP II next trip. I much prefer reloading a S x S that opens well and wide to an O/U. That would really be the acid test for the single trigger on a BSS. I expect that it would hold up, but it would be interesting to see.

A full choked gun would definitely be a hindrance there, but not 30" barrels, IMO. I much prefer that length on a dove gun, as long as handling is good. I wouldn't want a SP II with barrels any shorter for doves.
