Kevin, for the shooting we did a gun that was configured more for skeet (quick) was better suited for the job than one for the long methodical shots. And open chokes were an asset too. Perhaps both types of guns would be great to have since terrain vaires so much. I keep remembering that a lot of our shooting was done in charnares brush (thick and medium height) and as the dove came by heading for their roosts many of the opportunities they presented were fleeting snap shots. Of course, open grain fields would be a totally different proposition.
