eightbore,

The one we hunt with keeps everything except 16 ga. all the time, but I feel sure if someone told him, when they booked, that they would need 16 ga. he would have them. He literally buys shells by the tractor-trailer load. They are all loaded in Argentina, as there is a 100% import duty on anything coming into the country. Quality is first rate. The brand names I used last time are ORBEA and RD. A couple of the boxes also say CAZA, and one says TODO TERRENO. Most all of the twenties are 24 and 25 grams, but the last day I was shooting some high, rising doves that were all incomers trying to clear a grove of very tall trees behind me. The bird boy dumped the first box of shells in my shell bag that morning and I immediately noticed more recoil than ever before. A little later I looked at one of the boxes and he had brought me 28 gram loads for the high birds he knew would be there. Boy, they were hot! I didn't like the heavier loads and asked him to get me some more 7/8 oz. loads, which he did, and they were plenty for the high birds.

That mornings' shoot was some of the most challenging dove shooting I've ever had in 50 years of chasing them. Certainly the most challenging I ever saw down there. It is burned into my memory in detail.

May God bless America and those who defend her.
