Yes, that's it. Nice looking feather figure and 28" bbls. Only thing I could want more would be a BTFE for high volume shooting. When hunting, I never think about the forend.

Very nice. The 28" barrels are scarce and a nice feature.
Since you are worried about big bore recoil maybe you can find a nice 1/2oz 28 gauge load until you get your .410 barrels.

The only problem with 28" Repro barrels on a 28ga is that they tend to be choked way tighter than most would want, except maybe for doves. For whatever reason, those barrel borers in Japan must've been using 12ga choke constrictions on 28ga barrels.

I've got a 28 ga two barrel set, and yes indeed the 28" M/F barrels are very tight. Even the 26" IC/M set patterns pretty tightly. If CSMC were to make 28ga barrels I'd be tempted to get a 28" set with loose chokes.
And I can confirm that the drawings for the Repros were made from measurements taken from guns in the extensive Parker collection owned by the Skeuse family. As an aside, they are all true gentlemen.

I'm good with the tight chokes. My use would be primarily pass shooting dove and maybe a few pheasant at a wally world preserve and a wild SoDak pheasant or two from group hunts or over a flushing dog.

I've decided to skip the 410 barrels and have ordered .22 smoothbore barrels for my gun. .22 birdshot is my next load for honker pass shooting. Challenging? Yes. But, then I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express lastnight.

I load just over 1/2 ounce loads for my 4 3/4 pound 28 which is painful to shoot with factory loads. As I recall, I throw a .410 over powder card wad in with the shot, using a standard Winchester 28 gauge wad. I don't change the powder charge, so I imagine I get a little more velocity. They shoot and sound very good. No fuss, no muss.
