Hello Mr. Fewless,

That skeleton buttplates are extremely nice, but the damascus one is beautiful!

Since there are some opinions on the screws, maybe having them in a lighter shade to
match one of the greys on the damascus pattern would look nice. JMHO.

In Re: Daryl's Buckley hammer gun... I'm amazed that after over a century and an eventual home in dry Montana, the wood/metal fit is still so close. I'm thinking the stocker probably morticed a slender hole deep into the trunk of a live English walnut tree, inserted the skeleton buttplate, and waited several years for the wood to grow into the metal. Wow.
