I was watching American Rifleman and Larry Potterfield was showing his way of opening and closing an O/U. He was closing it with the lever to the right then centering the lever.

I hope this is not a rehash of a prior post, but isn't there an issue with closing it this way? I know that slamming it closed is not the way, but is it written somewhere to properly do this?
