Do you shoot it well? Has it been any places special with you? Are there any excellent days in your memory bank related to that gun?

The the questions are somewhat rhetorical of course, because chances are if any of them were 'yes', you would not consider selling it.

Finally, are your plans for the Brit gun any different? Will it serve better in some way tangible?

This is what I usually ask myself.

Example: A few years back I sold a beautiful field gun that I did not shoot well and apparently was never going to master to the point that I looked forward to using it, and bought with the proceeds a target gun that I use very often and makes me smile. This taught me something about myself, and the value guns actually hold for me.
