Welcome Calvin: Please be patient. Knowledgeable people will be along soon. It would help, greatly, if we had pictures of the gun, the proof marks and etc. Best, John

Calvin:
Disassemble the gun. On the bottom of the barrels and on the action flat where the barrels mate to the action, will likely be a lot of marks.
Describe in detail.
Just based on the name, I suspect you will see a figure that looks like the Washington Monument on a flight of steps, a cursive EL intertwined, 16 in a circle, or 12 in a circle, perhaps E L G in an oval surmounted by a crown.
If you find these marks, you have a "hardware store" gun. Perhaps an interesting bit of history, but nothing of great value. Guns of this type sold for 4-6 dollars when a new LC Smith or Ithaca sold for 18-20 dollars.

Calvin,
The lack of proof marks indicate the gun was likely American made. There are a number of companies that could have produced this gun. The 26" barrels are likely cut.
