You should tell what atae you're in; then one of the members can give you the name of a reputable person to value your guns. I wouldn't pat too much more attention to the guy who has been throwing out prices to you. You require an expert in the field; it will be worth any money you might have to pay him.
Oh, and Purdey is spelled with an "e". that's the extent of my know-how on them.
