Nice wood Steve, when I win a lottery I might be able to buy a English Blank for one of my rifles! Meanwhile I will have to be satisfied with a few Claro and a couple of Bastogne blanks I bought several years ago when I lived in Sacramento.

I like the maple for "training" and making patterns, inexpensive and holds up well to the tracing stylus.

As you well know, the real work begins when the wood comes off the duplicator. All the machine does is remove excess wood.

Ah, the Hoenig. Nice machine. I actually touched one several years ago.

I know the real wood guys do not like epoxies, but they have their place in making patterns and as reinforcement in the high recoil big bore rifles. Not in the museum pieces gents like you make! I enjoy your work, wish I could afford it.
