ordered the Deluxe with the smaller 20 gauge frame. I was told it will take a little longer to get it, but once quail season closes in February the wait really did not matter. I will be using the gun for desert quail mainly, occasionally shooting some skeet, trap, and sporting clays. My order was for 32" barrels but I have not owned a 20 with that length of barrels and started second guessing my choice. I shoot a fair amount of Mearns quail over the dogs and have a 28 and 20 gauge RBL with 26" barrels that have have been great game guns for the past 2 seasons. For this reason I do not see my self using the A10 for them. The desert birds usually are in flatter county and do not hold as well for the dogs.....
When it comes down to it I guess I really do not have a good reason to buy a 20 gauge with longer barrels, but Lou has been such a great guy to deal with and has always been fair in taking my trades, and the A10 looked so nice. I just had to have one.
I guess I am like Jeff Foxworthy explaining to his wife when she questioned why he need another gun. "Honey that a short range weasel gun, I need a long range weasel gun". Thanks for the help and positive responses to my question.
