At or shortly before the demolition of this part of the gun quarter one could find workshops in the courts and alleys bearing the names and skills of several craftsmen/gunmakers. There is little doubt that they did work in groups. I have owned two guns bearing the name H.Morris, the engraving on which was superb and in the same style as the Bissel. Henry[Harry] Morris was one of Birminghams finest engravers .In my opinion he finished and engraved some guns made by others for a change of pace and/or to augment his income.
