Have a friend with a splendid little Italian? 24 ga SXS hammer gun. He's thinking about having it sleeved to 28 ga so he can reload, but I suggested we try and find a source of 24 ga first. Can't think of a better place to ask than this forum. I ran the Search function for 24 gauge but came up dry. And then if it isn't readily available, is the sleeving feasible and wouldn't it be pretty expensive(all things being relative). Thanks much
It is easy to convert a MEC 600 to load 24 gauge. I would be more than happy to tell you what you need to do. When I needed to convert a press to load 32 gauge shells Tom Armbrust gave me some advise based on his experience converting 10 gauge MECs to load 8 gauge shells. He can even give you the name of someone that can modify the parts if you can't do it yourself or if you don't have someone locally that can do it for you. If your friend wants to he can pump out 24 gauge shells just as fast and easily as 28 gauge shells.
