Without claiming to be an expert, I'll offer the following from a lot of auction research. The maker's name has some level of Brand Value. These two name will be BV level three (BV3), which is 1/2 value of BV1 names and 2/3 value of BV2 names. The Original Quality grade of these guns appears to be about grade eight (OQ8)for a plain boxlock non-ejector; minimal engraving, plain grained and colored wood, so-so joint fitting of metal to metal and wood to metal, and modest finishing. The Current Condition level seems to be about four (CC4) for heavy use, but no abuse. BV3-OQ8-CC4 = $771 USA retail. The guns were sound of materials, design, and craftsmanship when they left the factory. They were not at all fancy, just sound workmanlike guns.
I agree with RH that such guns sometimes sell very cheap, or not at all, in Brit auctions. However, as noted, buying one over there leaves you with the problem of getting it over here. The only problem is the price of shippng and service. It has become much more expensive in the last few years due to changes in shipping rules.
