I have both the Greener books,I can assure you that they are by different authors[ie: In later life father William and son W.W, were not on speaking terms!]. The Greener book "The Gun"[ green cover]is by William Greener CE,it was First Published in 1834.A second edition of this book published in 1835 was recently offered for sale by Gunnerman books for $550.00.[Firsts are almost unatainable.If you can find a first, Expect to pay in excess of $1000]. By comparison, repro; Reading copies of "The Gun,9th edition", by William Wellington Greener,sell for approx;$40.00, First editions of this same book can be puchased for $250.00 approx.This book was so popular, that it was reprinted five time in 1881 its first year of publication.
