I'm almost afraid to ask if that is what is inside a target model slow lock. Tell me it was completely restocked to make it look like that.

How do you tell a slow lock from a speed lock?

I think speedlocks are marked 52A not 52. But some early rifles went back to factory, had speedlocks installed, do not have A. Am not positive about foregoing .... 52 experts on forum are invited to correct me.
