Am seeking damaged target scope rings or mounts as well as old scopes with problems. Some of the new silhouette games with vintage rifles require scope mounts with no clicks and I can (probably) convert or exchange your mount.
Also have some Jaeger side mount parts for possible trade; need round base and medium-ht rings, have flat base and slide and low- & high-ht rings. Regards, Joe

Joe, Do you have a good supply of crosswire? I only have a couple feet left and have not found any small suppliers. I did find this but don't need 500 meters of the stuff. http://www.tungsten.com/resalew.html

Forgot to add that I can restore the clicks to at least one later-model Unertl target scope mount turret knob. The last model Unertl target clicker began after # 17xxx but before # 41xxx(I ain't no expert), and that's the style I have, the one without the screwdriver slots in the top of the clicker head. This almost-new clicker was a gift to me from the late Ben Shelor and in his memory I'll donate it to the first respondent who can swap me a damaged one. Regards, Joe

Joe, is that the type that the clicker "plate" is a dimpled washer, that is staked to the knob shaft?? If so, I have a damaged one on a small-game Unertl that I'd swap. I can take a picture and email you if needed.

Greg, that sounds like the culprit, all right. Send me a pic to confirm. What's your serial # range? I think anything above about serial 30xxx or so will interchange. Regards, Joe

Here's a pic of what I have. One of the clickers is now a non-clicker due to breakage of the dimpled top plate but the other is fine. AFAIK all the Unertl clickers will interchange with any size Unertl mount made during the same time frame, whether it's the 2" Target or the Small Game model. If this is what you need then good, we'll swap turret clickers. If you still live in KY then I already have your snail addy and will mail it as soon as you confirm it's what you want. Hope your Holiday is good! Regards, Joe

Joe, I just went over and pulled that scope out of the cabinet, and the serial no. on mine is 22,432. However, that picture you posted looks just like the knobs on my Small Game. The clicker still works on my windage knob, but just barely...the plate's cracked in half and one half has gone missing. If you want to send it, I'll try and see if it fits...nothing ventured, nothing gained, I guess!
Whitey, that Field's Patent is coming along nicely. Shouldn't be too much longer now...it actually went pretty quickly once I figured out how to approach the inletting.
