I am not sure that your post is correct. My dad and Homer were good friends as well and I grew up hunting with him and his family. Dad was his attorney and gave the first production rifle to dad, it is a .300 win mag, serial #101. Now your post may be correct in that what you have is the first gun made available to the public, but I do not think it is the first production rifle. I also, have an Alpha I and 4 Omega III's.
