That's a very nice piece but I don't think I'm going to invest that much (g).

I agree, the rear sight stuck out to me as well, it has a deeper blue than the barrel. It has a screw for a slide but no slide, the elevator piece has a patent date of Feb, 4 1901 (?).
I'll have to take the rear sight out to see if it's marked on the bottom.

Just curious, can a .32 be made to work for a .22LR? The barrel would have to be relined but would the frame accept a .22 firing pin and extractor?
