GSP 7, Either the prices are high or I stole one a month ago from an East Coast Auction - I paid under $1000 for a Sedgley .30-06 in virtually unfired condition.

I wouldn't pay $300 again either. One of those things is enough.

unfortunately. There is some people that just has to try and sucker someone. And they like to play games on some of the auction sites. If the sites charged them a fair price for listing. And the same price again for re-listing. WE might see a difference. I know one well known dealer. And he told me he will just keep re-listing till he finds someone.? And he also said sooner or later he finds someone who don't know what they are doing. Great for the Gun Hobby huh.? Just my input. And worth nothing. Whitey

Yes BUT- check out the sellers feedback rating on "GunBusters"- 39 out of 42 positives is Good- But NOT GREAT-R.F. Sedgley/ P.O. Ackley- two great now past gunsmiths who did a great number of 1903 sporters in their time- but once the great M70 came out in 1936 to replace the fair M54- wonder if their volume of 1903 sales/conversions dropped-I have a 1949 NM 1903 that was later a sniper issue rifle- leather cheek piece, uncut 24" star guaged barrel and Unertl 10X scope- it is a flat out "dinger" with just about any ammo (including reloads) you care to use in it- I had to remove the cone shaped flash suppressor, because some uninformed young numbnut "Dippty" just out of Sheriff's Acadeny 101 tried to write me a violation for having an illegal "silencer" -while target shooting at an area gun club-
