Just a thought .... I would not get too agitated over not finding a D-W pad. In the period of use of these guns, a pad would wear out and another, not always the same maker, would be substituted.

That's true Mark but a white-line pad belongs on a Pachmayer ONLY, kind of like a receiver sight on a high-wall .
I have one myself that I need to get around to replacing. In the meantime I used a black magic marker on the white line so no one would see it.

Mark, What what the man's name in Wyoming who fixed our broken stocks?

Fulton google Fulton stock repair. If he does not turn up I will hunt him down for you. He recently fixed the cracked stock on that engraved G&H .250-3000 HiWall I got at Reno two years ago. Usual excellent work.

That's it! I can recommend him for broken stock repair. I'll post some pictures of the rifle he did for me.

I would not let him refinish the stock wanting to keep the original finish on the rest of the rifle as it was. I then spent the next several years slowing oiling the area repaired. I'll have to get a today picture.

Is this the same Bob Fulton who owned Hawk Bullets for a while? I remember buying .411 diameter bullets for a .405 Winchester from a gentleman of this name located somewhere in Wyoming about 15 years ago.
