The barrel looks a bit strange where it meets the receiver? How about a top-quartering view?
Sure looks like a great rifle! I have a particular fondness and curiosity towards Low Walls!

I suspect the barrel is just a bit too large to turn within the "flanges" on the front of the action - so Schoyen just turned a short relief on the points of the octagonal section.

One of my rifles has a similar treatment, but more extreme (barrel wider across the flats).

I had a Low Wall with a half octagon heavy false muzzle barrel that had that same treatment to fit the receiver. Not a Schoyen, but I'd assume it was a common way to make a heavy barrel fit a Low wall.
Looks like a nice Low Wall, but probably just rebarreled by Schoyen, as the rest looks factory.
