Myself I'd rather have the restored, 2&3/4" reproofed gun with good choking. I'd bet it's a Scott built action. The price of restoration could run about $1500 bucks or more (I don't have fond memories of my dealings with Bland, it appears to be a decent job).
If I was interested in it I'd be concerned with bore demensions and wall thickness and if it fit you.
With the makers caee and the restoration I'd say it's worth between $4 and $5000.00.
With the economy like it is...if you got the gun and things didn't work out fit/shooting wise and you had to sell it would be impossible to get your money back at his asking price.
