You can leave it outside in a garage or whatever but I like to keep an eye on a good piece of wood and sticker some of mine in the spare bedroom and store dry blanks on the landing of my stairs,of course I am single and can get away with that. I worry about insect pests and such getting into the woodpile when left in outbuildings. The wood that I do have in my 2 garages is fumigated twice a year to control such pests.Be sure and keep wood at least 18 inches off the floor with good air circulation.
