I have noticed the number of RBL's as well. And, there are several for sale locally......One of the local owners said, "the romance didnt last"......If the 16's get down to about 500 bucks, I might buy one....

Yeah buying a RBL is kind of like all the guys wanting to date the new girl in town. When they finally did they soon decided that she just wasn't what they had expected and tried to make up with the girl next door that they had dropped for the new hussy and all is well until the next painted up trollop comes along anyway.

Yeah, the 30" 28 gauge RBL is a terrible gun. I expect that those who bought them will be unloading them, probably starting next week. You may notice that many of the 20s offered for sale are Tony's. He is selling them at full retail.

One time I dated the new girl in town and then you should have seen the fuss she made when I tried to stuff her in the back of my gun safe. Damn that painted up hussy-trollop!

Ten years ago, three well known dealers were "dumping" Parker Repros for $1,999 ($2,099 for single trigger guns). I guess the people who bought them (except me) feel pretty good about their investment.
This happens with many guns when production ceases. Don't be surprised to see the prices of these guns go up substantially when demand exceeds supply.
These are very well made guns. I would take an RBL over a Parker Repro in a heartbeat and for far less money.

Just watched one on a no reserve auction. Standard gun, single trigger, Eng. stock, 14" lop, 2X wood. Not what I would see as the most saleable configuration. It was at $2610. minutes before the closing and final bidding probably took it a little higher. That would be more than it cost new if one got the $300.
discount. It did have a nice piece of wood.

It is just a terrible gun. End of story. Thanks, tudurgs, for your comment. Tony sold the last 30" 28 gauge gun that he had in stock at the Fall Southern Side by Side. He won't be making any more. The buyer showed great restraint in turning down ridiculous offers for his gun after he had paid for it. Tony still has a few 28" guns available. Maybe I can score one of those before they are gone.
