Agree with Joe about the styling and the price. First thing I'd do if I had it is give the wood liposuction and haul out the plug screws.....

One of the members of the Single Shot Rifles forum on 24hourcampfire.com just bought a Lo-wall .218 which has some of the features of this rifle and is not identified as to maker. I have urged him to post here and ask if anyone has a clue, but don't know if he will.

That Lo-wall has a "dropped forend" or "super beavertail" like this Hi-wall, scaled to the action size. But this style of wood is more appropriate to a target rifle like the Hi-wall than a hunting rifle like the .218 IMO. Is there a better name for a forend shaped like that (I think I made those up....)?
