Crack looks to be from hinge pin to hinge pin. Want to know if this is repairable? I don't know if crack opens more when gun is opened or what caused it. Everything else looks normal and I'm wondering if someone tried to remove the hinge pin and didn't know what was involved.

Crack on both sides. Looks like a looser to me. Shame. Why try to save any gun with a cracked water table? If it is cracked ti me it is beyond saving.

It is a Grade 2 L.C. Smith. It looks to be cracked on both sides. The thing is what is holding it on if it is cracked on both sides. There is only a very small amount of land left between the top of the hinge pin and to the water table and why didn't that crack as well.

Gun is not mine, it is for sale, and the price is right. The stock along with the Damascus barrels and forend are worth a lot more than the asking price. I have a call in for it and haven't heard from them yet.

I would be interested in all but the barrels if it is parted out.
Cheers,
Laurie
