Michael, At one time Tucker told me how he marked his Jaeger rifles, but I'm not remembering?? I'll ask him again.
Quite a number of different craftsmen work at Jaeger, including recently deceased Alfie Gallefant, and it might be interesting to find out how and where he different fellows marked the guns they built. I do remember James saying he only marked complete projects.
The firm seemed to hold a consistent high quality for what I would term 'semi-custom" rifles and I'm sure they very much future collectables as well as nice guns to own. I believe they were featured in Gun Digest custom rifles section sporatically(?)
