A nice rifle,thanks for posting the pictures. Someone should start collecting the Jaeger serial numbers and do some research on post war Jaeger.
I know little of Paul Jaeger after the war and I'm still putting together information pre-war. Over the years I have only located three "Philadelphia" marked Jaeger rifles. If anyone has one please let me know. I was lucky enough to find a pre-war Jaeger catalog which helped.
I know of three Jaeger markings:
1. Pre-war "P.JAEGER PHIL,PA."
2. Post-war location unknown "JAGER"
3. Post-war "PAUL JAEGER-JENKINTOWN,PA."
This rifle has about everything offered in the pre-war catalog including a single-set trigger.
