Well then, it is a post 1912 and prior to 1923 vintage model then.

FYI,
Notorious MikeeJ (don't think I've ever seen any of his guns with bids against them)
has a couple examples on GB right now that may be interesting to compare. Though his photos are dark.
First one appears to be a clone of dubbletrubble's. It's #142808619 marked Inman Meffert on the rib
and Hubertus on flats and water table. Second one is marked Herold on the bottom but looks to be
a traditional Sauer scalloped action. It's #142466327.
BTW, nice gun dubbletrubble.

Wow I just looked at those auctions. I knew it was a high quality gun, but I had no idea it was worth that kind of money. I traded an Ithaca NID in 16 ga. and a Lefever Nitro 12 ga for it even. My gun is a dead ringer of the Hubertus. The engraving on the sides and top are pretty much identical, along with the cocking indicators.
