Has there ever been any explanation as to why clay target prices shot up to more than double the price of just a couple years ago?

Increased Inflation, increased labor costs, increased fuel costs directly effecting delivery of raw materials and shipment of ALL finished goods.....Obama's Policies and massive increased debt which has decreased the value and "dependability" of the dollar internationally........
Many of the clays come from Italy which is on the Euro....and they are watching Obama's dollar drop like a rock in the Grand Canyon...

I've only seen an increase of about 20% when buying in bulk, Walmart, Dicks, Bass Pro etc have drasticly increased prices though.

The club I belong to will be raising our prices to $4.00 a round effective the first of the year. Since it is a small club serving only its own members,it won't disturb the economy greatly. We have seen the prices on clays increase as has everyone else and we build a reserve for depreciation and maintenance for the traps. At the old price we were "losing" a few pennies on every round and didn't want to lower the reserves allocation so now we are comfortable again. Those are the real reasons that we increased the price but.naturally we are blaming Obama. Best Regards

Maybe you haven't hear but Obama won a Nobel Prize....on the way home from the ceremony he got stopped by the cops and had to prove he hadn't stolen it.

As I remember and at my age that's good, the Reminton plant that made clay birds burnt a few years ago. I thought it was going to be rebuilt. Right now box of birds is 9.99 at wally world here.
