Remington Black hull Gameloads, 1,0 oz #6 shot did very well for me last year, from a 6lb, 03 oz Sauer Hammer double with tight chokes and patterns and lightweight sling. Shot close rizers in head, SOP. Only problem was on two long shots (40+ yards), where none of many pellets hitting penetrated deeply enough through rear of bird to give clean kill, although one bird folded on shot and other never moved from where it fell, tens of yards further on -- needed Cu-plated #5s for those shots. Every bird that flew, died last year. Intend to replace #6 black shot with #5 Cu-plated this year. Hope I get same % kills!!

Used WW 1 1/8 oz #6 1185 fps loads for years in a light kombi gun, for which they were only factory loads that patterned well. Way too much recoil in light gun for anything other than a few shots hunting.
