Can't really help you on speed; that amount of powder should be lethal on clays and small game though, provided your wadding seals properly. The old rule of thumb was that if it punctured a tin can at normal game range it should lethally puncture a small animal. I use card and greased felt, then roll crimp. Anything with a roll crimp in my magazine is BP. It also just looks cool...
I'm interested in how people go modifying cases for pinfire - smaller rims, pins, priming etc. Is there anyone who makes swaging dies for the rims? Jigs etc for drilling pin holes? How do people manage priming?
