No, it probably won't hurt. I don't know whether the folks at Briley perform miracles on a regular basis but I believe that they did for me once.

I bought a nice old Skimin and Wood that some back yard mechanic had hand reamed the chokes very off-center...AFTER another genius had shot steel shot loads through it in which the steel was poorly protected (reloads using lead shot wads?)that scratched the bore and where the barrels had been "sprung loose" at the muuzzles. By the time I got it, the barrels had been re-layed. The wall on the left barrel (the worst-reamed) was paper thin.

The folks at Briley were up-front about the possibility that they might not be able to "tube" the gun back to a reasonable POI. I told them to go ahead, anyway. The result was more than satisfactory; both barrels now shoot "spot on".

One problem; I now have one fewer excuses for missing. You don't suppose that Briley might be able to adjust "the loose nut behind the butt"?!
