Absolutely impeccable work of the very highest order. However, I would have specified a much nicer piece of wood with some black streaking. Perfect grain, but rather plain for an $80,000 Purdey. JR

Claudio, As I followed your progress from "Day One"with your "Restock" I am not at all suprised that your work is receiving the compliments that are certainly due for your diligence and Craftsmanship that you put "Into" that lump of walnut. You are only the 2nd Stockmaker that I have assisted with a 'Restock' useing the Phone and "E mail".....The photos sent between us, between Cape Neddick & your Workshop in Canada could be filed under'Cyber-Stock a Purdey".. I once had a"Punter" at one of the early DB Gun Get together's,tell 'self', Adam Davies, and Paul Hodgins,(All London Trade Trained Stockers)"If you can build a Bird-House,you can make a stock for any of the London Best'!!!So,....Well Done Claudio, I'm enjoying all the positive comments you are receiving. cc/dt

Utah, I've been looking for a project to use all the "Off-Cuts" from the stockblanks that have been collecting under the Bench"! Maybe a French,Turkish Walnut Bird-House with "Drop-Points"Several Gold or Silver Ovals,Chequered 27 LPI Side-Panels Cape Buff' Perches, Pig-Skin Covering for the Roof, Hand Rubbed Slacum Oil Finish...Rough Guess for the Hrs....at least a Full Day!Of course it would have to be at "London Rates"!!!(Shure hope this is taken with 'Monty Python' sized humor pills!!!)
