Personally, in view of the fact we fought the Brits twice--and back then, Canada was part of their Empire--I think we ought to kick Dig, Lagopus, King and various and sundry other imperialist enemies off this board!

RWTF, you might want to check up on what "Christian" Germany did to the Jews in WWII.
As for the Muslims, the historical record is mixed. Arab Bedouins were our allies in WWI (think "Lawrence of Arabia"), fighting against . . . the Muslim Turks. In WWII, the Sultan of Morocco received the decoration "Companion of the Liberation" from De Gaulle (which went to very few people)--because Moroccan soldiers fought alongside the Free French and the other Allies against the Germans. The soldiers doing all the fighting and dying in Pakistan, against the Taliban and Al Qaeda, are Muslim Pakistanis. And most of the ground troops we used following 9/11--with very few American "boots on the ground" in Afghanistan, nearly all CIA or Special Ops--to fight the Taliban and AQ were other Afghans. Talk to guys who fought in the Korean War, and if they were anywhere near the Turks, the usual description is "REAL tough bastards!" And they were there when some of our other NATO allies weren't.
My daughter, from ages 1-3, was raised by a wonderful Moroccan Muslim woman you might have described as a "good Christian"--if you hadn't known she was Muslim. Causes me to be somewhat sensitive to generalizations where Muslims are concerned.
