Thanks Don for the education. This is my first 10ga. ever. 2 7/8 chambers. The barrels are 28" and they ring true. That's what threw me, for being a 10ga gun, the barrel length. The bores have no pitting, dents, dings, bulges. The barrels touch at the muzzle. It is tight and on face, lever in center. The reason I thought it was a GH was it had the typical GH engraving: 2 partridges/quail left side, 2 geese/ducks in flight right side, and 2 larger engraved birds on the bottom, standing. It may be labor day before I can get pictures up and going. I only gave the guy $400 so I hope it's not all bad.
