Salopian, that information is useful. Someone from the States contacted me via another site telling me of the price quoted by Purdey's for the replacement of two springs. The price quoted would buy a pretty good sidelock ejector here. I had to tell him that was just Purdey pricing and that they would send the job to someone in Brum and then load the extra.
