Peter- can you post a foto of your existing stock, especially the grip and the inletted "head" area. I think I may have a Ithaca NID field Grade or Nitro Special Ithaca buttstock, not 100% sure- the one I have has a through stock mounting bolt access hole (like most all pump guns) has been Acra-Glassed for a slight crack just behind the grip- no BP or screws or grip cap, but the holes for same as still there- uncut as to LOP I believe. Also have a 1930's Red Ithaca sunburst pad that fits it 99%- needs a black spacer and two screws--
I just bought at a yard sale (mainly for the Remmie box, papers and shpg. label) what I thought at first was a 90% buttstock for a pre-1964 Field Grade M12 (the post 1935 later full pg style with fluted comb)-but the shape of the stock head is more of an Oval than the circular mortised M12 design, and at 12 o'clcok this is stamped in the wood- S 16 and over it upsdide is also stamped in Capital lettering L-- it came from a Remington DuPont shipping box just the right size for it, and was sent to a David C. Watson in Port Hurojn, MI on 8/18/1966. If anyone can ID this buttstock from the stampings, I would appreciate it. RWTF
