Congratulations on the new project, Dewey. I can't wait for the Vintagers to see your progress on an old project. What about my 25-20 WCF idea for the new gun? Will you offset the chambers to fire the .22 rimfire? Bill Murphy

What about my 25-20 WCF idea for the new gun? How about a .256 Win. Mag., or a .218 Bee?

That is super cool.
I'm curious about the law regarding making a gun like this. Does one need to have a license, as in some sort of ffl or some such, in order to legally make a firearm? I don't have the desire, skill, tools, etc to make one, just wondering about some of the background logistics apart from the machinery. ???

What if you eventually wanted to sell, or you die and want a spouse to sell, etc? I believe the guy here is a pro (if not, should be!), perhaps eventually he'll want to sell to a customer?

Here are a few more photos. The top tang is roughed out and ready to be welded. The floorplate is started and the frame is roughly shaped. The alloy is 1020, just like the full-sized Fox. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img]
